This might be one of the easiest and FREE ways to add that Fall touch to your home.
Branches add that extra height that we may need in a space without costing a fortune.
If you look on Instagram, or Pinterest, or in magazines, you will see these popping up all over the place for Fall.
Today I thought I would share some great inspiration photos of using branches in decor, as well as a roundup of my favorite vases.
I have a fun story to share with you so be sure to read all the way to the bottom of this post, I think you’ll like it!
This one, courtesy of HGTV, is a great example of using one big grouping of the same branch in a massive bundle.
I love the fullness of it and how they not only protrude up, but also cascade down one side to create a great Fall vignette.
Isn’t the color gorgeous?
The clear cylinder vase is a staple I think everyone should have.
They come in handy for so many uses year round.
I have even been known to use them as water pitchers while entertaining.
Now this next one, courtesy of BHG, isn’t technically branches in a vase, but I couldn’t help but share.
It’s a good example of another way to use vibrant branches to elevate your countertops.
Isn’t this arrangement stunning?
Branches can be used in numerous places.
I think the most common place is on a kitchen island, but on an entry table is nice, mantel, console table in a living room, coffee table, or even a buffet in a dining room.
My friend Annie used pampas grass all over her house for Fall and it looks stunning!
We share a similar neutral aesthetic and the texture on these neutral stems gets me every time.
This simple Fall mantle is one of my favorites, and it is made great with the addition of the beautiful rich colored branches.
This image stopped me in my tracks.
Consider a combination of Fall branches mixed with faux floral.
Even weeds can be lovely!
Take a long walk and see what you find along the way!
Now that you have some ideas for decorating with Fall branches this season, lets take a look at some of my favorite vases that have rich colors, earthy textures, great height, and would be a great addition to any home.
1- My all-time favorite vase is a little spendy, but it is one of those purchases that I don’t regret. It looks good in any room and styled so many different ways.
2 -I have the larger size in this vase and it is great not only for Fall, but year round as well. It has a great texture and would look best with leafy branches grouped in a big cluster.
3- Another great textured vase is this one. I think it would look amazing with pampas grass in it, cut short.
4- If you are looking for a larger vase with height, this one may be it. It has more earthy brown tones and is a stunner.
5- The shape on this vase is beautiful and you can’t beat the price. It would look great with branches, but equally great as a decor piece on a shelf with nothing in it.
6- Just because it is Fall, it doesn’t mean you can’t decorate with lighter colors. This vase stands out because of all the texture it has. To read more about neutral decorating for Fall, see my post here on how to achieve that look.
7- This charcoal vase is another all time favorite of mine. I have it in the light grey color as well.
8- For a super natural earthy look, you might want to consider this wicker vase. I think it would look great with 3 single tall branches randomly placed going every which way.
Here’s my funny little story with a great tip!
Years ago I had the opportunity to work on a shoot with Country Living magazine.
I was the stylists helper so to speak and days leading up to the shoot we would go shopping and find great items to style with.
Then there was the styling of the house followed by the photoshoot.
During one of the styling days I was given a pair of loppers and told to go find some great branches to style with.
So out I went and I cut some large branches off a maple tree and brought them back.
Here they are in the magazine, and here is the tip I learned!
If the branches are not falling the way you like them, grab some scotch tape or other clear tape and tape them to the inside of your vase!
That is what was done here and I think they look fabulous!

If you would like an inside peek on the before and after of the shoot, please see this post I did.
And by the way, this home made the cover!
I hope you all are having a great start to your Monday!
