Here are a few things I have had my eye on for quite some time and would LOVE to get in the New Year.
FURNITURE
Option 1
This chair would replace a chair we currently have in our living room.
I would get the beige/black option which is currently out of stock so I will keep checking back.
It is more modern than the one we have now, and I just keep going back to it time and time again so I think it is time.
Another chair I would like to get is this one to replace my husbands recliner.
We are also in need of a new sofa. When it rains it pours I guess. This is the one I have been looking at and think I have landed on.
I have been contemplating new dining room chairs too. I LOVE the look of ours, but they have casters which do not fair well with the uneven slate floors.
I am debating between these and these.Â
Option 2
We recently went in person to sit on this chair and this couch.
They BOTH recline and we {the entire family} fell in love with them.
They are stylish and truly feel like luxury theater seating when reclined.
In the everyday upright position, they are super comfortable.
The fabric is a gorgeous boucle like material and neutral.
And not that we need new barstools, but I saw these and my jaw dropped.
I think I would still have room for this chair in the corner hopefully, I still need to measure.
I think it would be fun to add a statement floor lamp too.
PROJECTS
And finally, we have a laundry room addition in the works!
This is my inspiration photo.
This is going to be a BIG project because it also entails adding on a new entry, new front staircase and porch, and taking out a window/wall in the kitchen.
I honestly don’t know if we will have time to do it this year but I am crossing my fingers.
Our laundry room now {you can see it here} is functional but TINY.
It would become a pantry and storage for extra dishes, kitchen items, etc.
Then the new laundry room would house much more including a dog station, 2 washers and 2 dryers {if space allows} and a utility sink.
It would be totally different on the exterior just like this photo with black windows and dark paint.
Again, these are just ideas that have been floating around.
We have lived with our current tiny living room for 20+ years now, so I think it is time!
I hope your New Year is off to a great start!
