We all love Pottery Barn right?
You walk into one of their stores and feel so cozy and at home.
It is inviting and always filled with the best seasonal decor.
Walking from “room to room” you will find so many ideas and little vignettes.
From perfectly made beds, to well styled tables.
{Check out my post on how to make your bed look like Pottery Barn here}
From kitchen styling ideas, too well laid out rooms.
I always walk away feeling inspired and so I thought I’d bring a little bit of this curated goodness straight to you at home today!
Let’s dive a little deeper into a few of these areas, and talk about coffee table styling today!
Coffee table styling can often feel like a daunting task to some.
Here are some styling ideas you can steal from Pottery Barn!
Below is my formula for a well styled coffee table:
Accessories:
I prefer to decorate with things I use on a daily basis.
- candles, always candles
- trays {these create groupings for different areas on a large coffee table}
- boxes {I like using boxes to house remotes}
- decorative or sculptural objects {think links, spheres, metal pieces, etc.}
- coasters
Books:
A stack of coffee table books in your color scheme. Start with the biggest on the bottom, going smaller to the top. I don’t like to stack more than 3 at a time.
Florals:
Whether you prefer faux or fresh, add them to a decorative vase and you are good to go.
This coffee table shows this example perfectly.
The vase is a great contrast with the white sofa, and is the perfect size for these large branches.
The wooden beads on the bottom are a very versatile accessory that could also be used on a stack of books on the top of the table.
Do you see how the tray holds everything together neat and tidy?
I love the idea of using this bowl to hold objects like links or wooden beads as well. Large low bowls like this are a great alternative to trays too.
Real or faux florals.
And don’t forget a candle. I love a seasonal scent!

This AD book is a good neutral one.
This one is a splurge, but think of it as a decorative piece and not a book.
This leather book would add a ton of texture to the stack.
Coasters are a practical thing to have on your coffee table, but they can also be very beautiful. I am currently loving these ones.
And don’t forget a decorative box for your remotes.

And here are a few more great coffee table styles for you to look at!

I have this bowl in both black and white. It is a fabulous styling piece. I plan on placing these in it this year on my holiday coffee table.

I LOVE this room!
Here is a closer look at the coffee table in it.
I love how they grouped the candles together in the round tray.

Vases don’t always need to have florals in them. Sometimes they are beautiful alone.

What do you think?
Are you inspired to do a little styling on your own coffee table now?
I hope you are having a great day!
