Today I am partnering up with other blogger friends to share our Thanksgiving side dish recipes! We hope you find some new and unique recipes to try out this holiday season. If you are hosting Thanksgiving, it can be a bit overwhelming to be the sole person to make every appetizer, main and side dish, as well as desserts. So my recipe is a very simple one that you can make quickly and easily so more time can be spent with your guests. Make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post for your printable recipe as well as links to all the other yummy side dishes. My Thanksgiving side dish is honey roasted butternut squash.
I love butternut squash. It is full of nutrients and vitamins like vitamins C, E, and betacarotene. These antioxidants help prevent or slow cellular damage and reduce inflammation, which may reduce your risk of several chronic diseases. With that being said, this is not only a delicious dish, but also a super healthy one!
Honey roasted butternut squash ingredients-
- Butternut Squash- 1. Cubed between one and two inch squares.
- Olive Oil– 2 tablespoons.
- Honey– one tablespoon.
- Ground Cinnamon– ½ teaspoons
- Rosemary
How to make honey roasted butternut squash-
-
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
-
Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper, or spray with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a bowl mix the olive oil, honey, and cinnamon.
-
Place the squash cubes {I like to buy mine already cubed} into a large bowl and drizzle on the mixture of olive oil, honey, and cinnamon. Toss to combine.
-
Transfer the tossed butternut squash to the prepared baking sheet, spreading them out so that they do not touch as best as you can. Top with any additional seasonings as desired. I like to use fresh rosemary.
-
Bake until tender and browned (25-30 minutes), flipping the cubes at least once during the baking process.
You will love this recipe and so will your guests. It is colorful, tastes delicious, and is the perfect side dish to serve with your turkey. Below is the printable recipe. Print and pin these images now so you have them on hand for Thanksgiving prep!

Melaine,
I love butternut squash! I haven’t made it with rosemary. I’ll have to try this with the honey. Yum!

Brussel Sprouts pan roasted with bacon and apple cider. It was drizzled with a lemon-infused basalmic right before eating. Heavenly and I wish I had a recipe. Sorry.
