Hello friends! I hope your week is off to a great start.
We had a fun weekend away camping and are now jumping back into the week full force. Today I wanted to share with you some inspiration from one of my favorites social platforms, Pinterest.
I have some of my favorite pins that are inspiring me right now, and why. So sit back, relax and have a look at some truly inspiring interiors and exteriors with this pinterest inspiration!
#1 // Neutrals with a view
This room is beautiful to me in so many ways.
Of course I am drawn to it by the soft neutral colors, but there is so much more.
If you really take a deep look into this photo, you will see so many different textures which keep it from being too bland and boring.
For example, look at those faux fur stools.
The leather on the large ottoman has so much texture to it as wel.
The linen on the relaxed sofa gives it a casual feel but the material elevates it.
And that view! Not only is the view insanely gorgeous, but those black grid windows are to die for!
#2 // indoor outdoor living
If I had a vacation home, this might just be it.
The nano doors create this great indoor/outdoor living space that is truly welcoming.
I can picture what this would look like in the evening with the cafe lights all lit up.
I can only imagine it is truly magical.
The metal roof, black grid windows, and board and baton, give this home a modern farmhouse feel.
The colors are well chosen and the groupings of furniture are super cozy and inviting.
#3 // tranquil outdoor space
How inviting is this?
I feel like I want to pour a glass of wine, put on some quiet music and just relax out here. I bet that lavender smells amazing.
What else I love about this space is that dark color on the building.
By the way, what would you use a building like this for? A garden shed? A she-shed?
#4 // organization at its best
I love me some good organization.
There’s nothing like going to grab something and knowing exactly where it is.
This would be great in a garage, but equally as great in a mud room situation.
Wouldn’t life just be better if every room was this organized?
We are in the beginning stages of creating an organization station like this in our basement.
I am busy gathering inspiration on all things storage, cubbies, etc.
This one is at the top of my list!
#5 // inviting pathways
When I was little, one of my favorite movies was The Secret Garden.
It’s been many many years since I have seen it, so I could be remembering it wrong.
I do remember being so inspired at such a young age by all the different garden “rooms” and spaces.
I think to this day that is what I love about creating different outdoor areas that serve different purposes.
Also, not letting any outdoor space go to waste.
If possible, make each outdoor area special in its own way.
This pathway for example could be very boring, but the homeowner chose to elevate the space into a inviting area that is neat and tidy and full of interest.
#6 // casual dining
Rustic, natural, organic.
These are the 3 words that come to mind while looking at this inviting casual space.
It isn’t fussy.
It has a very relaxed feel to it, while still feeling very high end.
The wood ceiling pairs so well with the wood chairs and woven detail on them.
The lines on the table and the chandelier add a modern element which keeps the space from feeling too traditional.
What are your favorite elements in this dining room?
#7 // mixed materials
The different materials used on this home inspire me so much.
Not only is the siding choices different, but the way they are used is interesting to me too.
I like that the rustic wood is hung vertically rather than the typical horizontal siding.
It really keeps this home from looking too boring with all the different elements.
8 // white on white
My favorite color schemes consist of a lot of white, with high contrast.
Probably why I love this bedroom and sitting area so much.
Sisal rugs that almost blend in with the floors add so much texture to the two rooms.
With the colors being so neutral, your eyes have a spot to rest which creates such a calming relaxing space.
There will probably be a lot of controversy over the taxidermy, but I think this is done tastefully.
9 // cozy nooks
Who wants to curl up with a good book?
I am only assuming this wall is shared with a fireplace and I can picture myself here with a roaring crackling fire getting cozy.
Window seats/nooks are one of my favorite things and I can’t imagine not having one!
You can carve one out of an unused closet, or easily create them with built in bench seating.
Pile on pillows atop a plush cushion and you’ve got yourself a tiny oasis in your own home.
#10 // modern/traditional
This space is a good blend of modern and traditional.
Can you spot the modern elements and the traditional elements?
This is a good example of his/hers style done right.
I am in love with those swivel chairs and the graphic stripe pillows.
I am guessing just on the left of this photo is a large sofa perfect for conversation.
