Thank you for all your sweet comments yesterday. If you missed the first post in our flip house {the master bedroom and bath} just go to the previous post here. 


Today I want to show you how we created a beautiful kitchen on a budget.


When we got our hands on this place, this is what the kitchen looked like. Don’t mind the markups, I do them on my phone so I always have the dimensions on me.


Part of the ceiling had been cut out. The electrical was circa 1968, as well as everything else. Popcorn ceiling and all.



This room is part of the living room, so one great room. 


The other side of the room had this gorgeous {ha-ha} fireplace with some beautiful burlap drapes and one heck of a damaged ceiling. 

Here is what we did to bring this current:

New LVT throughout, all new drywall, new pot lighting {which I bleeped out in the pics because I am OCD} 

A built in shelving space for your TV components. TV meant to hang on wall above. 
We made this wall bigger so that it could accommodate a large television.

I can’t wait to see furniture in here, it will really warm it up! 
I am picturing upholstered barstools to soften up the island, and a big comfy sectional to help divide the two spaces. A big rug will help soften the floors too. Love this one.
I went with two tone cabinets. Cream on the uppers and grey on the lowers and island. Both are shaker style.


The farm sink and this faucet are two of my favorite things in here.
The back splash is a light grey with a greenish blueish tint. They are a show stopper.
This light is so cool! The exposed Edison bulbs make it extra special and add a surprise element. 

You won’t see a high end range in here. You gotta keep budget in mind on a flip, and hey, it’s not horrible. It’s new, it’s clean, and if the new owner wants to, they can swap the oven out. 

White quartz counters were an obvious choice for me here. They have slight grey veining in them, tying the two cabinet colors together.

And wouldn’t ya know, I didn’t take a picture of the fireplace after. But I will go back so stay tuned.

What was once a neglected dark mess became a bright fresh space in a matter of months. I super proud of my husband for running this job and keeping me sane, and for all of our wonderful subs who did most of the dirty work.
