I am super excited about todays project!
Not only am I going to share a fun DIY project with you, but 9 of my friends are also sharing their repurposing and recycling ideas for your home and garden.
This is such a creative group, I think you will be excited with what you see.
Make sure you read all the way to the end so you can see all the fun ideas we have for you.
My project transpired when we were recently moving Savannah out of her college apartment.
Since she was moving back home, she sold most of her furniture, only saving a few key pieces.
One piece she was going to sell was her coffee table.
It had a cute round marble top, and a not so cute base. Two separate pieces.
In looking it over I just couldn’t bare to get rid of it.
So here is what we did!
We tossed the ugly base and loaded up the marble top into the car.
I still had no idea what I would do with it, but when I got it home and unloaded it onto the kitchen counter, a light bulb went off in my head!
I got the idea to turn the coffee table top into a giant charcuterie board for entertaining and here’s how it all turned out!
We had a little over 30 guests so if you are planning a large party, here are some tips on buying your foods for a crowd this big.
I got disposable clear tongs from the Dollar Store and used cheese knives for each different cheese.
Place small plates and napkins near the board so people can easily help themselves.
Think about something as a “centerpiece”
Since mine was a wine party, I used a giant vintage bottle in the center.
If you are doing a Hawaiian themed party, maybe think about a whole pineapple in the center. Get creative with your theme!
Place some foods in different containers to keep everything from looking so flat. Like I mentioned, I put the nuts in separate bowls, but also placed the olives in a glass pedestal container.
You can also put toothpicks out for people to grab foods with.
Now, here are some more fun repurposing ideas for you!
