Today I am teaming up with a bunch of creative and fun bloggers as we share all things Peonies!
Peonies are one of my all time favorite flowers.
They are soft and whimsical, girly and romantic, and not very fussy.
For my Peony project I wanted to create something for my love of these flowers, as well as a fun stay at home “therapeutic” project if you will.
So I made my own floral coloring book, for under $10, and I am going to show you how you can make one too!
Why a coloring book you ask?
Well, coloring books became extra popular when covid hit.
The virus has been keeping people confined to their homes and coloring books for both children and adults have experienced a renewed popularity.
These are not only fun to color, but they make great gifts too.
So grab a glass of wine, put on some soothing music, and get ready to zone out and create really fun art.
The steps to make one are as follows.
Make your own cover, or download mine here.
To make your own, use a website such as PicMonkey to add wording and florals to a blank square canvas.
Then you will need to make at least 30 pages. You can do all Peony images, or choose different florals.
I made my pages in PicMonkey as well.
You will need to find copyright free images. You can do this by doing a google search with key words like, copyright free, printable images, free Peony printable images, Peony coloring page images, Peony illustrations {black and white}
A couple places to look for free printable images are:
Save the 30 different floral images to your phone or computer.
Now it is time to put your book together.
I used chatbooks to put my coloring book together.
You can do it on your computer or with the app on your phone.
I do the 6×6 softcover book because it fits in and matches all my other photo books for a stream less look on the shelf.
The website will walk you through adding your photos and your cover, as well as adding a description to the spine. All of this for right around $10 plus shipping!
Once you’ve ordered that, gather your pens or colored pencils. I bought this set on Amazon and I really liked the brush tips and the color selections.
How cute would this be for a gift? A hostess present, teacher present, birthday gift?
