Hello and happy Monday!
I shared this hack on Instagram and it was such a popular post, I thought I would share it here too in case you don’t have Instagram.
I have loved these planters from Pottery Barn for a while now.
I mean, look how great? The shape, the texture, the color! Beautiful right?
I finally went to buy them and they were not able to be delivered for 5 months so I had to get creative!
That is when I found these.Â
- {UPDATED-
- If they are sold out, they are now selling the white version, no painting required! Click here to purchase the inexpensive Pottery Barn dupe planter!}
They literally look identical, only they were not the right color.
Not only are they so much more affordable, they are in stock with quick shipping!
A little white spray paint turned them into the exact planter I was wanting!
This is the spray paint I used, but if you are looking for something a little more cream, I would use this one.
Aren’t they pretty?
For Fall I have filled them with ornamental grasses, cabbages, mums, sedums, and winter pansies.
I even got them for indoors as well and spray painted them charcoal.
Don’t you just love a good hack?
I literally saved hundreds and got these planted and displayed without waiting months for ship time.
I think this would be a clever container for a small Christmas tree as well, don’t you think?
I only wish they came in more sizes as I would love a really big one!
Pottery Barn also sells them in a concrete color.Â
For the concrete one, I would just use a light grey spray paint.
Something with not a sheen to it that looks really rough, perhaps this one.
Pottery Barn also carries a terra cotta color, which hey, you wouldn’t even need to do anything for this dupe!
So what do you think?
Is this a project you think you’ll try?
