Every day I get so excited to get the mail. No, not for the bills, those get filed. I get excited to see what new MAGAZINE has arrived! Yesterday it was HOUSE BEAUTIFUL. I just love getting ideas from them and seeing other peoples homes and decorating styles. I was so sad when I heard that Country Home and Cottage living magazines will be shutting down!
Am I going to be forced to open my bills now? Have you heard of any others shutting down?

Oh my goodness! Not Cottage Living. I love that magazine! If they stop publishing Southern Living I will jump off my roof!!
I know!! I got the notice in the mail of Cottage Living closing, and they said they will be replacing it with Coastal Living. I don’t live Coastal-y, I live Cottage-y!!! I’m so disappointed 🙁
i was horribly sad about cottage living – it had me in a funk for days.
amber – they told us (in seattle) that it was going to be replaced with some southern magazine – something i wasn’t so happy about. i would LOVE if it they replaced it with coastal living…
pahleeeeeze….no more, I hope.

I’m sad too that the magazines are stopping… I love a lot of US magazines so have signed subscriptions but now I am learning that this will end!!!

I know! I am soooo bummed out about Cottage Living. I also was told that my subscription is going to be replaced with Southern Living. I just loved Cottage Living…the top 10 list in every issue was my fav! Hopefully Country Living will still be available. Have a great day!!!
I was so sad about Cottage Living too. It was my FAVORITE. I told everyone about this fabulous magazine that was cottage-y but not frilly. Cottage Living, you may be gone but will never be forgotten ;).
I wish they would have told me this yesterday when I subscribed for 3 years. Luckily, I opted to bill me later. ):
I’m not a subscriber to either Country Home or Cottage Living, but I’ve been a more than willing recipient of a friend’s hand-me-down copies, so I will also be sad to see them go.
I was very disappointed when I received my October issue of Home with the notice that it was the last issue to be published. It is to be replaced with Metropolitan Home. If added to my current subscription correctly, that means I should be receiving it through October of 2012.
Not Country Home, nooooo!!! I knew about Cottage Living and received my postcard about transfering my subscription but I didn’t hear about the other one. That magazine has been around so long, I am so shocked. And upset. 🙁

I can’t believe it – I also mentioned my disppointment on my blog. My Cottage Living subscription is being replaced by Southern Living – and I live in a Minnesota cottage neighborhood – about the most un-Southern Living place!
