This is a clients guest bedroom that I helped spruce up for her parents and in laws.
The home is beautiful and I got to work with great blue walls. {buxton blue by Ben Moore}
The room also had beautiful drapes and chairs, as well as a bed, nightstands, and a dresser that stayed.
I brought in luxurious bedding, set up a coffee station in the bathroom, and added a giant leaning mirror {which I didn’t get a picture of!} to one of the bare walls.
Let’s take a look at the before and afters and how I transformed it in one afternoon.
The first thing I did was strip the bed and add all white bedding. I went with the softest duvet cover and sheets, and then picked up a white quilt for the foot of the bed. I swapped out the standard size pillows for king pillows as well.
The lamps were also switched out to these which are a bit taller and have a classier feel to them.
A vase filled with pink peonies adds a bit of color, which is stacked on books in a tray.
The other nightstand has a marble trinket box an a crystal rock.
I added a great bench at the foot of the bed. I was really impressed with the price on this and how good the quality is. {it is on sale right now too!}
Another blanket and book for curling up and reading on top.
The before bed was ok but not as inviting as the all white version I created.
I added my new favorite pillow as well as an oversized light blue one with silver and white tassel’s that I found here.
The seating area before:
I was lucky to be able to work with these beautiful drapes and gorgeous chairs.
All I had to do here was add a bit of color with this pillow and this pillow in the chairs, some books, and a vase of flowers.
