I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for a little sunshine!
I am ready for bare feet, tank tops, and gardening.
Since that won’t be here for a little while longer,
{at least in my neck of the woods}
how about a little verbal sunshine? 


Yep, that’s right.
Andy and Tara once again are giving away one of their lovely signs to a lucky My Sweet Savannah reader!

      It would have to be the daffodils. Ever since I was a little girl and my parents would take me to the daffodil parade in Western Washington, the daffodils are what signals the arrival of spring.

      I visited the shop… some awesome stuff. I sing this song to my twins every night before bed, I would love to have this for their room. My FAVORITE thing about Spring has got to be the flowers and blooms. During Spring time we also take long family walks in at the park and we love it.

      What's not to love about Spring.. having a hard time writing about one thing… probably is the green leaves starting to return on my white birch trees… They look so bare in winter.

      My grandaughter, Anna was born with a head slick as an onion. Her smile would cover her entire face. She reminded me of sunshine on a spring day. That is our nickname for her. I would love to win the lovely picture for her room. We sing the song to get her to sleep at night and just to sometimes brighten her day. I loved both sites yours and theirs.

      My five-year old son and I planted new bulbs in the Fall. He was more into digging for worms but still a fun venture as he randomly grabbed bulbs from different bags and dropped them in the ground. Can't wait to see what comes up!

      I understand completely what Tara (and Andy) are gong through. This past year I developed strange symptoms and underwent a battery of tests (including a brain CT scan and MRI) and saw several doctors in search of a diagnosis. I understand the relief that is not one thing and then the frustration and fear associated with not knowing. In the darkest moments, when I would think of my small children, my husband would hold me and sing to me "You are my sunshine…" What was a love song at the beginning of our marriage 10 years ago, has become a song of solace. That is my favorite thing about spring: sunshine.

      I look forward to enjoying all the spring blooming plants in my garden from the sunny daffodils to the peonies to the fragrant viburnum and deep purple siberian iris and flowering almond and newly planted allium–mimi drumsticks and large Lucy Ball. I'll know it's spring when I get a whiff of our lilac bush and the breeze no longer chills to the bone. I'll savor every day because the heat and humidity of summer won't be far behind. : )

      I was so excited to see the sign "I Hope You'll Dance" in Tara & Andy's shop…I love those words! I can hardly wait for Spring and the daffodil bulbs to bloom in my garden. I planted 100 bulbs 2 years ago and they bloom for weeks on end.
