Chocolate Easter Place Cards – DIY Tablescape Idea with Free Printable
When it comes to hosting, it’s often the little details that make the biggest impact—like these chocolate Easter place cards.
These chocolate Easter place cards are a mix of thoughtful, elegant, and a little indulgent—just the way I like to welcome guests to the table. They serve double duty as both personalized name cards and mini take-home gifts. With warm brown tones, wood textures, and a splash of Chambord raspberry liqueur, they tie in beautifully with the rest of my chocolate-inspired Easter decor.
And yes—I’m including a free printable so you can recreate the look at your own table!

What You’ll Need – Chocolate Easter Place Card Supplies
This project is simple to pull off, and most of the materials are easy to find. Here’s what you’ll need to make your own chocolate Easter place cards:

Shopping List:
-
Mini (airplane-sized) bottles of Chambord
-
Hemp twine or brown string
-
Free printable name tags or initials (download coming below!)
-
Scissors
-
Optional: spray-painted chocolate bunnies (from thrift store)
-
Hot chocolate or coffee to serve alongside
These place cards not only elevate your tablescape, but they double as a little adult treat—perfect for brunch or Easter dinner.
How to Assemble Chocolate Easter Place Cards
Putting these together is quick and fun—and they add a personal touch your guests will absolutely love.
Step 1: Prepare the Napkin Ring Base
Start with your wood napkin rings. These serve as the perfect “nest” to hold each mini bottle in place. They add an earthy, rustic texture that blends beautifully with the chocolate tones in your tablescape.
Place one napkin ring on each plate or napkin fold at each table setting.
Step 2: Add the Chambord Mini Bottles
Gently nestle a mini Chambord bottle into each napkin ring. The fit is almost too perfect—it holds the bottle upright and makes the whole presentation feel purposeful and polished.
Chambord’s deep raspberry flavor is the perfect complement to a hot chocolate or coffee bar, which I’ll be serving after dinner. Guests can add it to their drinks or take it home as a sweet little favor.
Step 3: Cut and Attach the Printable
I designed a simple, elegant free printable that includes an initial monogram along with a subtle Easter greeting. Each one is sized to work as a tag for your bottle. Once printed, simply cut out the cards, punch a hole in the corner, and thread some hemp twine through.
Then, wrap the twine around the neck of the bottle and tie a small bow or knot. It instantly turns the bottle into a personal, festive detail.

Step 4: Style on the Table
Once each place card is assembled, arrange them on your table settings. You can place them on top of napkins, plates, or tucked next to your cutlery.
To complete the theme, I styled my table with thrifted bunnies that I spray painted in soft brown tones to complement the chocolate look. It’s such an easy and affordable way to create continuity in your decor.

Why You’ll Love These Chocolate Easter Place Cards
These chocolate Easter place cards are one of those “why didn’t I think of that sooner?” ideas. They’re easy, inexpensive, and create such a thoughtful moment at the table.
Here’s why they’re a must for your Easter celebration:
-
Budget-friendly – Most items can be found at the dollar store or thrifted
-
Elegant and earthy – Wood tones and hemp twine bring a natural vibe
-
Multi-functional – They’re both name cards and gifts
-
On-theme – Perfect for chocolate lovers or warm neutral Easter themes
-

These little touches make your guests feel seen and appreciated—and they photograph beautifully too!

Styling Tips for Your Chocolate Easter Theme
If you’re going all in on a chocolate-inspired Easter like I did this year, here are a few extra ways to carry the theme throughout your space:
-
Use a warm, earthy table runner (linen or burlap work well)
-
Mix in different shades of brown with napkins, plates, or candle holders
-
Style with thrifted bunnies painted in chocolate tones
-
Add a hot chocolate or espresso bar with toppings and mix-ins
-
Incorporate wood, rattan, and brass for a layered, natural look
This approach feels both grown-up and festive—perfect for a relaxed Easter brunch or dinner.
