It’s almost Halloween and if you are scrambling to find unique neutral Halloween decor last minute, this post is for you!
I love creating holiday decor and I love using old drop cloths for so many DIY projects.
There’s something about recycling old material and making it into something cute that has me coming back for more.

How to make this no sew DIY Happy Halloween banner-
Gather your supplies. You will need the following-
An old drop cloth, or age a new one here by getting it dirty and adding paint splatters.
Grommet kit, this is the exact one I used.
The one thing I forgot on this collage below is the stencils!
You definitely need them.
You will also need a pattern for your banner pieces.
Click here to get my free printable pattern.
You can size it to whatever size you like on a word document and print out. Mine are 5″ wide by 7″ long.
Print out your template and cut out. Then trace onto a thin piece of cardboard and cut that out. A cereal box works great.
Let’s get started-
Trace around your pattern onto an old drop cloth.
Using good sharp scissors, cut out each piece.
You will need 14 pieces to spell out Happy Halloween, however, you can spell out any message!
I also made one that simply says “BOO” and one that says “TRICK OR TREAT”
Follow the instructions in this post to create your letters.
Then simply iron them onto each banner piece.
Follow the simple instructions on the grommet package to add 2 holes to the top of each piece.
When finished, string black parachute cording under and over, leaving plenty at either end to hang.
That’s it!
