Hello friends!
Today is all about DIY ornaments and decor!
You are in for a treat because I have several friends joining me with their projects as well, so be sure to read all the way to the bottom of this post to see them!
I LOVE crafting during the holidays and always look forward to making something new each year.
It doesn’t have to be super fancy or complicated either.
Some of my best projects are the quick ones that don’t cost a lot of money!
My DIY paper Christmas trees are one of those, and I am going to show you how to make them!
I even created a template for you to download below.
DIY PAPER CHRISTMAS TREES-
You will need the following to make these:
TEMPLATE, DOWNLOAD THE SMALL HERE, AND THE LARGE TREE HERE.
PAPER, THE THICKER THE BETTER. I USED WALLPAPER SAMPLES.
SCISSORS, and that’s it!
INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE YOUR DIY PAPER CHRISTMAS TREES-
You will want your paper to be double sided! If it isn’t, before tracing and cutting out, use a glue stick to glue two pieces of paper back to back. This is an important step you don’t want to skip!
Since these trees are 3 dimensional you will see both sides of the paper.
Print out my free templates, then cut them out, including the slits on the dotted lines.
Using the cut out as a pattern, trace onto your paper you will be using.
Each tree will have 2 pieces. One with a slit at the top, and one with a slit at the bottom.
Now cut out your trees, including cutting the slit.
*TIP* You may need to cut the slit a tad longer if trees aren’t fitting together perfectly.
Once you have your two pieces cut out, simply slide one onto the other through the slits and that’s it!
The fun part about these is that you can pick paper and patterns that match your holiday decor!
Head to your craft shop and get some fun papers, or maybe you have wallpaper samples left over like I did?!
I will also link some up here that might work for you!
I think they look so cute grouped together like a little forest.
Here are some papers I found that might interest you! Simply click on the photo to take you to their shop-able page.
