Do you get trick or treaters where you live?
If you do, you might want to make these DIY tomato cage ghosts, with a twist!
Keep reading to see what the twist is….
Aren’t these ghosts the cutest?
See my reel here on Instagram to see how I put them together.
I had these indoors for a while but the glow they cast outdoors is so great!
And I am super grateful to them because they are going to be passing out my Halloween candy this year.
And that my friends, is the twist!
Make these viral ghosts, but add arms to them so they can hold a cauldron full of candy!!
Cute and helpful, I couldn’t ask for more!
I paired them with this cute broom that also lights up.
It all looks so good in the dark!
I will link up everything used in this post at the end, so be sure to read all the way to the bottom.
Be sure to pin any of these images to your Halloween boards!
If you are looking for other clever ways to hand out Halloween candy, you might like this post where I share how to make this pumpkin candy holder.
I also have free printable Halloween candy papers that you can leave out if you are away. Get them here!
You can see everything I used to make these here,
Or, shop below, each will make one ghost.
PIPE INSULATION {CUT IN HALF TO 3′}
RUBBER BAND OR HAIR TIE
HOW TO PUT TOGETHER-
Place your tomato cage on the ground, pointy side up.
Holding the 3 pointy prongs together, secure with a rubber band or hair tie.
Place the foam ball on top of the prongs, pushing down to secure.
Wrap white lights all around the tomato cage randomly. I used 1 package, but you can add more if you’d like.
To add the arms, fold a 3′ piece of pipe insullation and secure halfway down the tomato cage.
On one “arm” cut a slit to hold the candy cauldron.
Place a white sheet over the entire thing.
Next up {optional} add a creepy white cloth on top of the sheet.
Add the eyes by putting black circle stickers on for a mouth and eyes, or draw them on with a sharpie.
You can also cut out circles or ovals from black fabric and glue on.
Finally, fill the cauldron with candy and place in the slit you cut in the pipe insulator.
Ta-da! Stand back and admire your work and welcome those little munchkins on the 31st!
