One of my favorite things to drink in the summer is fruit infused water.
It is not only delicious but the health benefits are huge.
Read on to see how I make fruit infused water in muffin tins, plus get some healthy recipes you can make too!
Why fruit infused water?
The benefits of fruit infused water are great.
- Boosts energy, immune system and brain function.
- Prevents and treats headaches.
- Maintains blood pressure.
- Helps lose weight.
- Delivers oxygen throughout the body.
- Flushes out toxins and body waste.
- Improves physical performance.
How to make fruit infused water:
I like to make giant ice cubes filled with fruit combinations.
They can be readily available to pop into a glass of water any day.
Simply add fruit to clean muffin tin cups and fill with water.
Freeze until ready to use.
These can be used in individual glass or placed in a pitcher of water to sip on throughout the day.
- If you are having any issues releasing these from the muffin tins, simply dip the base of the pan in very warm water briefly to loosen them up.
Fruit combinations:
The sky is the limit with the fruit combinations.
You can simply make them to your own taste, or combine the fruits for a specific purpose.
For example, choose strawberry and thyme to boost your mood.
Rosemary and raspberry is great for a post workout water as it will help with sore muscles.
Mint and lemon work great for digestion.
Blueberry and basil will help promote healthy skin and has anti aging benefits.
Cucumber and lemon is a good detox booster.
Grapefruit, lemon, and lime is a great immune booster.
There are so many different combinations you can make!
The fruit will stay good in your water for up to 12 hours, but I have been known to sip on the same drink for a couple days.

I hope you try out some different combinations!
Raid your fridge right now to see what you have!
I also really like these flexible reusable ice cube trays for large cubes as an alternate to using a muffin tin.
