Nightstands are like junk drawers.
No matter how hard you try to keep them organized, stuff gets thrown in, things get scattered, and before long, it looks like this:
This was giving me serious anxiety trying to find things!
If your nightstand looks like this, there is help!
Here is what I did to make it organized and free of clutter.
MEASURE THE INSIDE OF YOUR DRAWER:
Taking the exact measurements to the store with you will help ensure that you will cover every inch of the inside.
Bring a small tape measure with you to the store.
I gathered all my supplies in the store, then laid them out in the middle of the aisle and took final measurements so that I knew I was buying enough. There’s nothing like getting home and then realizing you have to go back out for more.
BUY CLEAR CONTAINERS WITH DIVIDERS:
I like clear containers because they are visually pleasing and you can easily see the contents.
Buy multiple containers that have various dividers.
Think about slots for chapstick, medicines, pens, etc.
You can buy larger containers with no dividers for books or magazines.
PURGE:
Throw away expired meds and relocate items that got thrown in at one point that don’t belong.
I had a ton of medicines that needed to be relocated back to the medicine cabinet, and some that had expired that needed to be tossed out.
PRIORITIZE:
Prioritize items closest to you in bed that you will be using most often.
For me that is vitamins, night creams, melatonin, etc.
Here are some of my favorite items when it comes to organizing the inside of drawers, whether it is your nightstand, junk drawer, or bathroom drawers.
And here are some books I’ve been reading during quarantine!
I hope you got some good ideas for organizing your drawers, as well as some new reading material!
Hope you are having a great day!
