Are you team hot tub or no?

We literally use ours almost every night.

There’s nothing like pouring a glass of wine and unwinding after a days work while soaking in hot bubbly water.

Our hot tub sits on our deck and overlooks our backyard on one side, and the lake on the other side.

I honestly can’t believe this hot tub has made it this long.

We have had it for almost 15 years but she keeps proving to us she’s a loyal member of the family.

We actually purchased it on a trip to the state fair when the kids were little.

Before we re-did our deck and changed it from wood to concrete, she sat on the other end and was sunken in.

It was a nice feature to have it like that, but with concrete, it couldn’t be done.

So we moved her to the other end of the deck and this is where she will reside.

 

Since it was previously sunken, you couldn’t see the sides of it.

When we moved it we realized the brown had to go, so out came the paint.

My husband used to own an auto body shop decades ago.

He still dabbles in the occasional car projects and loves doing this as a hobby.

So he brought out the car paint one day and sprayed the exterior of the hot tub black to blend in a bit better with everything else.

It made a world of difference.

Then it came time to getting a new hot tub cover.

The one we had had seen better days, and it too was brown and dingy.

People use this as a place to sit when we have gatherings and we have one dog who loves to sun bathe on top of the hot tub.

It was really bad. The foam had broke down due to all of these things and it was looking pretty ratty.
