To celebrate our kitchen upgrade, I’m sharing a delightful fall simmer pot recipe that we’ve been enjoying. Made in my new Le Creuset Dutch Oven—also from Wayfair—this simmer pot fills our home with the cozy scents of autumn. Here’s a recipe to get you started:
Fall Simmer Pot Recipe:
- Ingredients:
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 3-4 cinnamon sticks
- 1/4 cup whole cloves
- 2-3 star anise
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup apple cider
- Combine all ingredients in your Dutch Oven.
- Fill with water and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and let simmer, adding more water as needed.
- Feel free to mix and match ingredients based on your preferences. Adding a few sprigs of rosemary or a dash of nutmeg can also enhance the fragrance and make your home smell even more inviting.To make your kitchen prep just as enjoyable, I’m also using my Wüsthof knife from Wayfair.
