What do you do with an old wood pallet you have laying around?
Well, there’s a TON of ideas! Just go on Pinterest and type in pallet projects and you will find so many!
We had one that I found out in our backyard while I was cleaning up one day. It had beautiful greyed wood and it was perfectly distressed. So I rescued it from the burn pile and made a tabletop for it, and today I am going to show you how I did it!
Let’s start from the beginning. This is the table that came with our set.
Step 4-
Now that all the pieces are attached, you want to create your 4 sides.
I used 1×4″ pieces of cedar that I had on hand. You will want to measure twice, and cut once.
Cut the pieces at 45 degree angles. Think of it like a picture frame. Attach these with finishing nails, screws, or an air nailer.
Remember, everything is still upside down at this point.
Work with one side at a time until you have all 4 sides on.
Before white wash:
And after white wash:
Don’t beat yourself up if it’s not perfect, nothing is.
Step 6-
Flip it over and give it a little sanding to remove any rough patches.
Step7-
Place on top of your old table and voila!
