We are FINALLY seeing some sunny weather in Seattle!
It is long overdue and very welcome.
It got me in the mood to spend some time outdoors sprucing up different areas.
I started with what we call our outdoor kitchen.
I guess it’s not technically a kitchen, as there is no sink, but there is a bbq, a smoker, and a mini fridge, so that is what we call it.
Truth be told this is my husbands favorite spot to hang out, while mine is the deck.
More on that space coming next week!
There’s a tv out here, heaters, a fireplace, and a comfy couch, so I can see why he likes to hang out here.
It’s a place to watch football games, bbq for gatherings, and take naps 🙂
We do like to eat dinner out here too, year round actually.
It’s actually really cozy when it is raining on the metal roof and the heaters and fires are going.
Curious about how I keep a white cowhide rug out here clean?
I will let you in on a little secret.
It’s not a cowhide.
I made it out of a drop cloth and I will be sharing the tutorial very soon!
You can literally hose it off, so perfect for outdoors!
It’s a relaxing place to unwind after a long week.
A couple years ago I did a post on this same spot.

This year I got all new pillows. Not only did I get new decorative pillows, which I will get to in a minute, but I got new cushions for the furniture too!
Our old cushions were looking very ragged and stained and just plain gross.
I looked into having them redone but it was around $900.
I was at Target one day shopping around and found these cushions and these back pillows and they happen to fit perfectly!
{shoppable links at the bottom of this post}
All in all they were about $250 and I didn’t have to wait for anything to be made.
I fell IN LOVE with these outdoor pillows from Porter Lane Home on Etsy.
They are so beautiful and so soft, you would never in a million years know they are made for outdoors.
Some outdoor pillows are stiff and cheap looking, and these are insanely good.
I highly recommend. In fact, I loved them so much, I also got them for the sectionals on our deck!
Again, more on that coming next week.
I think the antelope print may just be my favorite!
I kept the colors in keeping with the interior of our home for a cohesive flow from indoors to out.
Shopping items out of your own home is a great way to make the two spaces flow nicely!
I hope you enjoyed this little peek into our outdoor kitchen!
As promised, here are the links.

Coffee table, was my husband train table from when he was little. I cut the legs down and stained it.
Stump tables, these are soooooo realistic looking! Mine are the grey and white.
Please pin any of these images for later!
Today some of my friends have joined me to share their summer outdoor spaces with you.

Have a great rest of your day!

Those rustic branches are really neat! We are just now about to get decent weather here as well. I guess being a couple hours north of you, we’ve had the same terrible spring this year! I can’t wait for some sunshine!

Melanie I loved seeing your cozy outdoor space. The antelope pillow is gorgeous indeed. I am loving that the table was your husband’s train table as a child. That is so neat. You did a great job making it over. Pinned…and happy summer!
