If you want to make a delicious gingerbread tree that can be great for your decor too, read on!
I made this early in the season and it has lasted throughout the last few weeks perfectly!
It is so cute as kitchen or dining room decor!
Here’s how to make one!
All you need is my gingerbread and royal icing recipe, and this cookie cutter kit.

Ingredients for gingerbread cookies-
1 cup butter, room temperature
1 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup light molasses , or dark corn syrup
2 tbsp ground cinnamon
2 tbsp ground ginger
3 tsp ground cloves
2 tsp baking soda
4 cups all-purpose flour
4 tbsp water
Frosting:
I used store bought vanilla frosting to keep things simple!
You will also need powdered sugar for dusting on to look like snow.

Instructions for making the cookies-
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
In a mixer, mix the butter brown sugar, molasses, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves as well as the baking soda until combined.
Blend in the flour a little at a time alternating with the water.
How to assemble:
Start with the largest stars and place on your cake stand.
Frost them with white frosting and then move onto the next sized cookies.
Repeat and work your way up to the top. Make sure you are placing the layers not stacked perfectly on top of one another. You can refer back to my photos if that helps!
Once you get to the top, frost the smallest star and adhere it to the top with a blog of frosting.
Finally, use a flour sifter or your hands to sprinkle on the powdered sugar to look like a snowy scene!
