I am keeping things light and bright inside this year for when it gets dark and dreary outside.
Typically Fall decor is filled with earth tones, but I have done the exact opposite this year.
I love earth tones and tons of leaves and pumpkins, don’t get me wrong. But this is just what is feeling right to me this year so far.
I hope you can gather some inspiration from pictures of our home, our projects and ideas, and walk away with some new ideas for your own home.
My color palette this year is filled with cream, white, grey, black and hits of brown in woods, as well as bits of salmon, sage green, and marine blue.
A few leather pumpkins and dahlias from a friend were added to our everyday decor on the dining room sideboard.
Lamp light is also one of my favorites when it gets dark out, I have multiples in every room.
This one looks like concrete, but without the weight.
For the tabletop centerpiece I used a bowl I already had, placed a glass vase and
battery operated candle in the center, then filled the gaps with pinecones from the yard.
The blackened teak tray holds a fun pumpkin bowl, and another mini leather pumpkin.
Each place setting is grounded with a log slice charger plate. I used my everyday white dishes to layer on top. A black cloth napkin ran through a mug handle finishes it off.
And a little mini white pumpkin from the grocery store to add that Fall touch.
Moving onto the living room which is right off the dining room.
This room gets a lot of use. We watch movies in here, football of course in the Fall, and have birthday parties, Christmas morning, etc. here.
I want this room to feel relaxed, lived in, inviting, and cozy.
Pretty much the only color in here comes from greenery. I have a mix of faux eucalyptus in this vase, (a HomeGoods score) as well as real.
A simple stack of some of my favorite home decor books, a box that holds the tv remote, chapstick, etc. and a little pumpkin finish off the coffee table.
The last room I want to show you today is our kitchen.
The runner has all the right colors for my color palette.
Filled it up with snacks and a lot of clear glass to keep things light and airy.
Under the coffee nook is our microwave, and under that I store cookbooks in this flea market wood tote.
Since this used to be an old desk area, I am still trying to figure out what to do with the space where the chair would normally go.
