Creating a Home You Love: Spring Home Tour
Each spring, I take time to refresh our home—not just with decor, but with a focus on how we want our spaces to feel. This year, more than ever, I’m leaning into creating a home you love. A home you want to come back to. A home that comforts, reflects, and holds you.
In hard seasons especially, home becomes more than a place. It becomes the backdrop to our daily lives, and I’ve found so much joy in curating it with care. Today I’m sharing a look inside our home this spring—simple, cozy updates that help each room feel warm and lived in. We do have a lovely outdoor dining space, but this tour stays indoors where we’ve made the most meaningful seasonal changes.
Let’s take a look around.
Living Room: Rustic Contrast and Cozy Layers
Our living room is where everything begins. This season, I embraced our rustic modern aesthetic and highlighted the contrast we love—bold blacks, warm woods, and soft neutrals that layer together in a way that feels both grounded and cozy.
The boucle reclining sofa and chair are the stars of the space. They add texture and comfort without overwhelming the room. I kept styling soft with nubby throw pillows and cozy blankets you’ll find in regular use (not just for looks!). On the shelves, I displayed a mix of meaningful favorites—books, collected objects, and neutral pieces that bring subtle personality without clutter.
This space is a perfect reflection of creating a home you love—beautiful and functional, without feeling overly designed.

Kitchen Details: Minimal Style with Warm Touches
The kitchen is the heart of daily life in our home, and this spring I kept things minimal, with a focus on small, practical comforts. Our barstools are one of the most affordable finds in our home, and adding soft sheepskin throws gave them a fresh, cozy feel.
The coffee station continues to be one of the most used areas—especially during slow spring mornings. I also love our wine wall, which adds a modern focal point using black metal wine racks that double as functional storage and design.
When I think about creating a home you love, it’s often the little details—like cozy barstools and a well-stocked coffee station—that make the biggest impact.
Creating a home you love sometimes means simplifying. The kitchen is a good example of how less can truly be more.

Creating a Home You Love: The Dining Room
Although we have an outdoor dining space we love, this spring tour stays indoors—and our dining room is a space that deserves its own spotlight. Large picture windows frame lake views and incredible sunsets that feel like a gift every evening.
This is where we gather. It’s where meals happen, conversations unfold, and moments are shared. Styling is simple: a neutral table runner, a few favorite vases, and soft lighting from candles. Sometimes the best way of creating a home you love is celebrating the view and keeping everything else quiet enough to enjoy it.

Creating a Home You Love: The Bedroom
The bedroom is still a work in progress—but it’s also one of the most comforting rooms in our home. Our upholstered bed is a favorite year-round, and the bedding layers this spring are soft, neutral, and meant for rest.
There are updates I’d still like to make, but right now, this space holds us well. That, to me, is the essence of creating a home you love—knowing when something is enough, even if it’s not finished.

Final Thoughts on Creating a Home You Love
I believe home should be a place that supports and comforts you—especially in uncertain or challenging times. Creating a home you love isn’t about perfection. It’s about intention. About adding things that matter, editing what doesn’t, and creating space for life to unfold.
Thank you for stopping by today’s Spring Home Tour. I hope you leave with ideas and inspiration—and a reminder that home doesn’t have to be fancy or finished to be full of love.
