As much as I love the lazy warm summer months,
I have to say that fall is my favorite.
Yes, I enjoy all the Seattle rain,
listening to it hit the skylights while I am inside all warm and comfortable.
I live for the occasional thunderstorm and truly am a homebody at heart.
I could curl up on the couch and watch movies with my hubby all day with the flames blazing in the fireplace.
The crispness in the air, and the sound of football on the TV.
The kids soccer games, the pumpkin spice lattes at Starbucks.
Yep, I love it all!
I tend to stay home a lot more this time of year, baking, organizing, and relaxing a bit more.
The kids are back in school and although that means more projects, sports, etc., it also means curling up in bed at noon with a good book and taking long walks.

If you like this season as much as I do, I know you will enjoy these photos.

This one is probably my fave.
I love watching the leaves change color, and collecting them in this window box is just fabulous!
{I love how it is propped up on a bench!}

am thinking about all those wonderful indoor indulgences too….

Fall is my favorite too. It signals the holiday season which for me ends at New Years.
Great photos!
Очень красиво! 🙂
loooove these pics – I am so excited that Fall is finally here! 🙂
i am from st. louis and loved fall, we now live in hawaii, as great as that is, i miss fall!! putting on boots and jeans, seeing those amazing colors! loveliness!!
I love fall with all my heart – favor season of them all!
Beautiful photos and I love your sentiment. Fall is my favorite time of the year. I'm from SW Washington, but just moved to Alaska last month. I am so sad to miss the fall colors of Washington. Alaska has it's own beauty, but it's all yellow and green and is missing the orange and reds 🙁
love all these pics…I've actually saved most of them in my files….
love that you love this season…so do I!
I have to say…I know your daughrer's name is Savannah-thus the blog name- but when I visit this blog I always picture you in Georgia~ lol Crazy…but true!
I love this time of year too…and am just now "letting go" of Summer.
And…ya know…I don't know what the heck I did wrong but when my kids were in school I never even thought I would be allowed a reading nap! lol Good for you-to take some sweet time for yourself makes you a better Mom. Hugs- Diana
We are just getting a few crisp mornings here in North Carolina, I'm so ready for the full on Fall weather! I have many of those same pics saved on my laptop, just love looking at them! and I'm going to try that pear recipe you posted, sounds so good!
Have a great day!
Tammy 🙂
I'm heading for the mountains next week and hope to see some colorful leaves.
Love your photos and I agee, it's great when you can be a home body!
hugs
Sissie
Lovely images. I love autumn too. Although I also love spring, which it is for me right now!

It's like you pulled the thoughts out of my head when writing this post!
Well I would love to snuggle up to a crackling fire except this humidity has it feel more like South Carolina 'round here today,! 😉 Were is that fall crispness??
L.O.V.E. the colors in that tablescape w/the plaid! I would love something like that for a wedding. I've always wanted to get married in the fall, but being a schoolteacher, I'm afraid I'm resigned to a summer wedding!

I love fall, too, Melaine. And we sure got the rainfall here in Seattle today. I live near Coulon Park (Renton) . . . the fall colors are just beautiful here in the next few weeks. I'm not sure which part of Seattle you live in, but it would be worth the drive when the colors peak.
Fondly,
Glenda
I am so ready I can't stand it. I love table with the plaid fall pillows and black chair. Great arranging.
Fall is my favorite time of the year, too. I am pretty much of a home body at this time of the year and love it. Love the fireplace going, cozying up with my hubby and a blanket by the TV or with a good book and having a pie or cookies baking in the oven. Beautiful photos! Wishing you a great week.
Gorgeous – we just went North for the weekend and got a glimpse of some changing leaves!
Also, I enjoyed my first Pumpkin Spice Latte too the other day! Yum.
It's my favorite season, as well. I love the box with the leaves and apples. Very wild looking.
I love those photos. I really like fall and the cooler mornings and evenings. I am looking forward to it although it takes a bit longer to arrive here in Az.
I love this time of year! I think it's got to be my absolute favorite. These photos make me feel ready!
Love the fall as well, we can just embrace it with open arms. Enjoy the new color palette. Florence
I saw my first colored leaves today – guess I've been busy! I've been watching your blog for awhile and love everything of course. My girls loved what you did with your daughter's room! Your Mom has been in my store before actually – Valley Vintage in Duvall. I hope you find time to come by too. She thought you might like it. I love being in the store myself. Hope to see you at Ruffles and Rust!
I am TOTALLY with you on this one. Autumn is my favourite time of the year (as long as it isn't raining) LOVE those crisp, bright mornings – and the colours – absolutely gorgeous! xx
I am sooooo jealous! I'm in Texas and it's still so hot and humid here I want to scream. I am anxiously awaiting our "cool down" so we can enjoy the outdoors again. But, beautiful pic's. Thanks for sharing!
When Fall comes I have much more longing to your beautiful country!
Of course the autumn in Germany is also nice but not so beautiful as in your country!
Greetings
Marion
