This “new” dog house for our boys started out as a children’s playhouse that our neighbors were throwing in the trash.
I immediately saw it as the perfect dog house in the making.
A little paint, a cute door knocker, and some TLC, and it is ready to go!
It had seen better days, but it was sturdy and the bones were good. I can’t help but rescue things from the trash!

We had to take it apart and put it back together at our house.
I painted it Benjamin Moore Navajo White to match the trim on our house.
It is tucked in a corner behind our house with a cute little black and white striped umbrella.
I used leftover pavers from our fire pit project as the floor, and will add an outdoor dog bed as well.
I decided to have a little fun with the door color. I painted the door Blue Danube by Sherwin Williams, and added a cute little brass fox door knocker.
I even put a little front porch pad outside the door.
