While it may feel like it’s too early to talk about Christmas decor, it really does come quickly!
I have been thinking about Christmas decor ideas for a good month now and plan to start decking the halls on November 1st!
In fact, I already have Christmas lights hung in trees. Trying to beat that Seattle rain!
Another reason I wanted to get you some Christmas decor ideas now is because things are selling out fast! I know because I have tried to buy some only to find out I am too late!
If you see something you like, grab it quickly!

I am only going to show you my favorite products for this year that ship quick to save some disapointment! Nothing like your holiday decor arriving after your holiday party.
My approach to holiday decorating 2022:
It may be no surprise that I am taking a more minimal approach with my decor this year.
I don’t like a lot of clutter around, and with our house being on the smaller side, I need to be really intentional about what I bring in.
The tree-
Let’s start with the tree!
While I love a real tree, they just aren’t practical for us.
Like I mentioned above, I like to decorate early which means by the time Christmas rolls around, a real tree is usually dried up and dead. No fun.
Not to mention the mess of falling pine needles all over the floor.
This year I got a new tree! We had had the same faux tree for about 12 years and it was time for a new look! I love the simplicity and the sparseness of the one I picked out and I love that it is pre-lit.
And guess what? It is over $200 off right now and has fast and free shipping as well!
I purchased these ornaments in multiple sizes. I do realize the color is not your typical Christmas color, but I think it will be really striking. It also fits in with my neutral decor so that is key.
That being said, I also picked out some lighter ornament options like these. I loved the texture of them!
I am also really loving brown this year and you will see it making it’s appearance in a lot of homes I am sure! These ornaments are absolutely gorgeous and I cannot wait to add them to the tree! They also come in this color which I am going to order too.
Stay tuned also for a DIY ornament that I have been wanting to try for a long time now!
I am really hoping they turn out!
Adding luxurious velvet ribbon to the tree is another way to get a really pretty pulled together look. I opted for this ribbon in a couple different colors to try out. I ordered the brown and the grey to try.
I also purchased some off the shelf ornaments from a local shop that look really similar to these.
And of course, I will fill in any holes in the tree with ornaments from my own collection.

Wreaths:
Wreaths are so nice to add to your front door at the holidays to greet your guests. Nothing says welcome more than a twinkling fresh aromatic wreath.
If you can’t do real, I have some good faux options for you.
I not only hang wreaths on our doors, but also indoors on mirrors, sliding barn doors, as well as outdoors on our carport, etc.
This wreath is super soft and has a relaxed and simplistic look to it which I love.
I love juniper berries and think they add such a nice soft color to holiday decor. This wreath is covered in the sweetest little juniper berries, so great!
Add a cluster of bells and finish it off with a bow tied from velvet ribbon for a beautiful display. These ones are another cute option for bells.
This wreath would look darling hung from a command strip on a mirror indoors.
Same with this champagne colored one, on sale, in stock and ready to ship!
If a pre-lit wreath is what you are looking for, this one is a great and super affordable option!

Shelf decor:
I love decorating our shelving for the holidays.
Sometimes it can be as simple as placing beautifully wrapped gifts on the shelves! I like to use a good neutral wrapping paper, a higher end ribbon, and tuck in a juniper berry sprig.
Another thing I love to use is bottle brush trees. I have a collection of brown bottle brush trees I bought at a local shop a couple years ago that I love. Glass trees are another one I love to use on shelving. Here’s some cute ones.
I am loving these brass wire ones this year too!
In the kitchen I like to fill clear glass canisters with collections of things like bells, or even ornaments.
I also like placing these items in bowls like this one.
A yummy holiday scented candle is a must. This is my all time favorite.
Beautiful taper candles are a must too. I love the twinkling light they put off at night.
Nutcrackers are another favorite. They come in so many different colors and styles. If for some reason you can’t find one you like, buy a wooden one and spray paint it!
Christmas villages are great too. I especially love this one that is new this year!

Garland:
And finally, garland!
I like adding picks to garland and doubling up on it to make it feel really full.
Additionally, I like mixing the different species of tree garlands for a natural look. Try mixing pine with cedar and so on.
Zip-ties are a must when creating a really full lush garland your mantle or stairs, or even around a doorway. I like to use clear.
This garland is super popular this year and I can see why! It looks very realistic and has a great affordable price point. Buy double what you normally would and double up!
A more expensive option but a really good one with great reviews is this one.
These are the battery operated fairy lights I like to use in my garland. They come with multiple settings and have a remote!
This pine branch is large and super realistic looking. Great for adding that fullness in certain areas.
These white berries are a good way to add a bit of contrasting color to your greenery.
Like I mentioned above, juniper berries are my favorite to tuck in places everywhere.
