Let’s make a DIY planter pot candle for spring!
I recently found this planter for $7.49 at a thrift store and immediately thought it would make a great vessel for a candle.
I have seen these for sale and for this size they can get pretty expensive.
I made mine for under $30.00 and it was super fun to make!
I hope you give this DIY a try.
Supplies needed-
thrifted vessel, here is a similar one to mine.
wax or candles to melt down
essential oil {optional}
pot holder
large pan
I like to buy these prayer candles at the Dollar Tree because it I have found it to be the most inexpensive way to make large candles such as this one.
Instructions-
Melt down your candles over by placing them in boiling water. My planter is large so I am using 12 candles.
While they are melting down, place your wicks in your container. I like to use tacky putty to hold them in place.
Then use skewers to hold the wicks upright.
If you’d like to add essential oils in, now is the time!
Now just sit back and let the wax harden!
When dry, trim the candle wicks to about  a 1/4″ and light!
