I love the idea of budget friendly crafts! When I was proposed to come up with something for this blog post, it really got my creative juices flowing! Not only is my craft budget friendly, it is practically free! I am going to show you today how to make the cutest wallpaper vases for your home. The best part is that they can be customized to fit your decor and color scheme. Shall we get started?
MATERIALS NEEDED-
Wallpaper samples. Tape and/or hot glue gun. Various cylinder containers you might have laying around your house. Scissors and/or paper cutter.
HOW TO MAKE THESE VASES-
Start by gathering wallpaper samples that go with your decor. I get mine here. You may have some laying around! The prints I chose all have a texture to them which makes them look even more elevated. TIP* Look for wallpaper samples that are textured such as sisal, grasscloth, faux leather, fabric feel, etc. Gather your containers. You don’t need anything fancy and you will be able to reuse these so don’t worry about getting anything wrecked. The only rule is that they have to be cylinder shaped and small enough for a wallpaper sample to fit around. If you can’t find any, check out the thrift store! Here are some ideas for you to look for: Canned goods, think tomato paste! Empty spice jars. Empty candle holders. Empty medicine bottles. Next you are going to line up the bottom of your container with the bottom of your wallpaper sample and mark the top with a pencil. Cut the paper with scissors or paper cutter. Tape one end on to hold in place, then roll up until there is a slight overlap. Tape or hot glue into place. That is it! Fill with water and spring greenery and flowers for a budget friendly decor piece. Be sure to pin these images to your DIY board! Here are some more budget friendly crafts for you to try!
