I have been having so much fun with Halloween decor this year!
I think my first project for Halloween was spray painting this family of skeletons gold and I am obsessed with how they turned out!
Today I am joining some friends to share with your our outdoor Halloween decorations!
Not only do I have some fun photos, but I am also including a fun DIY drop cloth project with you!
This little Halloween scene is so fun to see when guests walk up the stairs.
It was super simple to create.
If you have an outdoor table and chair set, simply place a couple skeletons in the chairs and pose them to look like they are interacting with each other.
I decided mine needed a little wine so they each got some in these cute cups.
Long black metal straws help them because their old bones don’t bend very well anymore.
Flameless candles look super eery flickering in the dark and are perfect in my thrifted gold candleholders.
The centerpiece is something I have there for fall and it worked perfectly!
I just added a few pumpkins and called it good! Sometimes less is more.
Now, let’s talk about this DIY dropcloth piece in the back!
How to make this DIY Halloween art-
I used an old dropcloth and ripped it down to the size I wanted.
It wasn’t quite “dirty” enough so I splattered some paint on it and rubbed a little dirt on it to age it.
Find an image you like and then enlarge it yourself, or have it enlarged at a copy center.
I cut out the image and laid the fabric and the image, or template on the floor and traced around it with a black ballpoint pen.
Where I couldn’t trace around, I just eyeballed it and it was close enough.
Then I used black fabric paint to fill in the design.
You can smudge the paint a bit to give a shadowy effect as well.
Please pin these images to your Halloween boards!
