Welcome to our home tour and the Seasonal Simplicity series. All week you will be able to virtually tour many home all decorated for fall.
Our hope is that you will find inspiration and share in our joy of seasonal decorating!
If you are here from Sarah’s blog, Grace In My Space, welcome!
I love fall and I can’t wait to share some fun ideas and tips for making your home super cozy for the season.
I normally have white vases and pottery pieces in the spring and summer.
Swapping those pieces out for earthier pieces in darker colors is an easy way to warm things up.
If you use books for decor or to elevate pieces like this, swap them out for grey or black books.
I personally like to take the covers off to show the beautiful bindings.
In the warmer months I have white and blue books stacked here.
Add in textures with cozy blankets and layer on extra pillows.
Swap our artwork for moodier pieces.
I previously had pictures of our kids in the lake and a giant photo of people water skiing.
While I loved these, {and they will go back up in the Spring} they weren’t appropriate for the season.
I got new pieces that will take me all the way through winter and I love them.
The middle one is called Winter Journey, and is a beautiful snowy scene.
The long horn print can be found here and the mountain goat can be found here.
For the centerpiece I simply transferred all my faux succulents to a galvanized pot out of the white vase.
Comfy seating is a must.
I swapped out the wall letters that read “go jump in the lake” for “stay warm and cozy”
More fresh eucalyptus in the kitchen ties in with the living room florals.
I added this black serving board to the counter and right now I just have a single fall scented candle on it.
It will be great for fall entertaining and charcuterie boards.
Worlds Okayest Home printable can be found and printed for free here.
You can see how we DIY’d these lights here.
