Good morning!
Today I am going to show you an easy way to write on a chalkboard.
You don’t need to consider yourself an artist to master this.
It is as easy as 1, 2, 3.
We have a chalkboard door in our kitchen {laundry room actually!} that I like to change frequently with a new message or drawing.
The first thing you will need is your image. You can type something up in a word document like I did here.
Enlarge it to the appropriate size. You can do this on your printer at home, or take it to a copy center to have it done.
I printed mine out at home so I had to piece it together since it was larger than a regular size of printer paper.
Flip your design over and scribble/rub chalk all over the backside of the lettering. Shake off chalk dust outside or in a garbage can, it can be messy!
Tape to your chalkboard.
Using a pencil, simply trace around the outline of the letters. It does not have to be perfect.
Remove your “pattern” to reveal the outline of your lettering, like this.
Next, start filling in your letters with chalk.
That’s it, easy peasy!
