I felt like our living room needed a little more lighting.
I have these great vintage photos of people fishing
out here at Crystal Lake in the 1940’s.
I had them enlarged and framed them in these frames.
I went to Ikea and got these super inexpensive wall spotlights.
I went to Ikea and got these super inexpensive wall spotlights. They plug in so no electrical experience is needed!
I didn’t know if they would work, but at $9.99 a piece I took my chance!
them to blend in more to the walls so I spray
painted them and the cord off white.

Love it Melaine! It looks great!

They look really nice and seem to have done the trick! Did you hide the electrical cord down the bead board or did you wire them in?
Great project Melaine…they look perfect.

Great idea. I love it when people give me ideas of things to do with Ikea merchandise. Each time I go into their store, I feel overwhelmed! Thanks for the tip.

GREAT project! I drove by IKEA on my way home from Grayslake and I sooo wanted to stop. But then I would have been driving home in the dark and so I kept driving…Next time.
They look great! I wonder if you could hardwire those – we have an awful 80's sconce in our stairway that I'm itching to replace on a budget.
