But then, I saw these cute cobblestones. Then came the landscaping, and the prep work, and the cleanup, and the endless ... Read More about And We’re Off!

Adding fence building to my resume. Comment TWIGS Adding fence building to my resume.

Comment TWIGS for all the details on this DIY twig privacy fence.

I wanted to hide our work equipment without losing the natural look of the woods. So I collected fallen branches and started stacking.

This project took 20 hours, stretches 50 feet long and stands 4 feet high—but the part I didn’t expect was how therapeutic it would be.

Something practical turned into a beautiful backdrop that feels like it’s always belonged here. And seeing the deer walk alongside it makes me love it even more.

Lately, I’ve been drawn to pottery—the organic shapes, muted colors, and handcrafted details. So when I spotted this platter at Goodwill for $7.99, I happily brought it home.

Once home, I noticed a signature on the bottom. A little research led me to McCarty pottery, and what started as something pretty for my house turned into one of my best thrift finds ever.

Yes, $1,650 was the actual selling price.

Your reminder to turn things over, look for signatures, and research those marks.
