Definitely a do!!1 I have a white couch and chairs and I LOVE them!!! Just pop the covers in to the washing machine with some oxiclean and you are good to go 🙂

I love the look. However, I’ll speak from abit of real life experience here. I’ve owned an ivory sofa and loveseat before and they didn’t look like that for long.
Slip covers are definately the way to go if you’re going to attempt such a light colour on something you sit on so often. And eat on. And drink on. And, well, just live on. Unless you tuck it into a very seldom used room of course…

I think the white is lovely, but I have a rambunctious 2 year old and a 2nd on the way. White furniture is just not practical.
I’ve been considering white or off white slipcovers, though!

I have white slips that are close to 10 years old and two black cats! These slipcovers have been barfed on, spilled on, peed on a time or two, have had chocolate chips melted into them….I could go on and on. I treat the spots with Shout and throw them in the washer…sometimes I use Rit fabric whitener. They still look fantastic. Nothing lifts a room like white!

Real Life: My parents gave us their white couch and chair. You see everything! If you can pop slipcovers into the wash, that’s another thing.

I adore it. But, I imagine with 4 dogs, kids, and my husband I’d need at least 2 slipcovers because 1 would always be in the wash.
I keep telling everyone that no matter what color your fabric on your sofa it will get dirty, so slipcover and go with what ya love.

White couches can be any style, modern, country, etc. I have two couches that were very light but were constantly dirty so I slipcovered ’em in white canvas denim and I have 2 little boys. It totally works for us. When they get dirty and I throw them in the wash and bleach them. Who else can do that?
