Today I have a super simple idea to show you
which would be cute or the upcoming holiday.
It doesn’t require a lot of money, or thought, and it will keep the bugs out of your drinks too!
I started with a wide mouth ball jar with lid.
You can buy these by the case at any grocery store.
Then I got out some 7 1/2″ round paper doilies.
You can buy these at the dollar store.
Some festive straws~etsy, and you are good to go.
Since my straws are red, I am going to fill mine with blueberry juice from Trader Joes.
If you had blue straws you could serve red fruit punch!
Remove the inner seal and discard or save for a future project.
Place the doily over the top, making sure it is centered.
Then push down on the top ring and screw on until tight.
Using a very sharp small knife, cut a X somewhere on the top for the straw.
Voila!
I like that they are protected from the elements outside,
if you are having a outdoor gathering
Take it a step further and add a coordinating washi tape name to each straw!
