We are all so busy this time of year so I thought it would be a good idea to show you how to “make” cookies to impress your guests, without all the time and energy of slaving away in the kitchen all day!
Introducing my Christmas cookie hack.
These ombre cookies are decorative, festive, and easier to make than you might think.
Here is what you will need to make these:
cookie decorating kit {optional}
assorted sprinkles {optional}
You don’t need to spend time slaving away in the kitchen baking cookies when you can buy plain store bought ones. To see exactly what I used, click on any of the bold type words above to take you to the product page.
Mix up white equal amounts white frosting in a bowl with green food coloring.
One drop in the first.
Two drops in the second, and so on and so forth.
Starting with the darkest green, add it to the base of each tree using an upward motion with each stroke.
Move onto the next row with a new popsicle stick and the next lightest color.
I used four shades of green and white for the top.
They look super fancy and whoever eats these will be so impressed.
You can use this Christmas cookie hack on other cutout cookies as well such as gingerbread men, ornament cookies, or snowmen.
When you are done frosting them you can decorate them with edible sprinkles too if you’d like.
I kept mine simple but the sky is the limit with these!
