Hello and welcome to our Christmas home tour 2023!
If you are coming over from On Sutton Place, welcome!
This tour is put on by my friend at Jennifer Rizzo and I am honored to be a part of it every year!
This year, like most, I used earthy, neutral, and natural colors. The result is one that is calming on the eye and very restful.
The white twinkling lights in almost every room add to the magical feeling and everything is so cozy.
I am a total homebody so having a home that is peaceful and clean and simple is important to me.
LIVING ROOM-
The living room decor is similar to last years, with a few small changes.
I kept the tree exactly the same and the only thing I might add is a few more brown ornaments and faux magnolia stems.
Next to the fireplace is a large nutcracker I thrifted and spray painted. Make sure you are following me on
Instagram so you can see all these little makeovers!
I hung 4 neutral stockings and left the mantel free of garland.
I kept the pillows neutral on our couch but I did add in a new gingerbread pillow and I am obsessed with it!
You will see a common gingerbread theme in almost every room.
This pillow adds just the right amount of color and has bit of red in it, the only red you’ll see in my whole house!
On the coffee table I added on beautiful bowl filled with pinecones.
And the side table has a simple faux arrangement and twinkling battery operated candles.
New this year is the addition of a beautiful wreath I hung layered on our gallery wall. The white lights are on a timer and I have them set to come on at dusk, and they stay on for 6 hours. It adds just the right amount of sparkle.

DINING ROOM-
I will give you a quick glance at our Christmas tablescape, but you will have to come back on Thursday for the big reveal!
Did you catch our dark and moody dining room makeover? That will show you in depth how I created our accent wall.
On that wall are huge metal shelves which I had fun styling!
I kept things pretty minimal and tone on tone here.
I wanted the “WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS” to really stand out, even though it is black on black.
I did a quick DIY dropcloth art with a black tree, then added in a few black nutcrackers and a yummy holiday scented candle.
In the corner I have a petite faux tree I got at Target years ago. I filled it with DIY ornaments and some brown velvet ribbon, as well as a few pinecone picks from Hobby Lobby.

KITCHEN-
Here comes the DIY gingerbread houses!Â
I have them scattered here and there and at night they are so sweet with the little lights shining through the windows.
I especially love them in our coffee nook/hot cocoa bar.
I found some new little mini wreaths this year and hung them from the sconces. A touch of brown velvet ribbon hanging from them look so great with all the other earth tones.
Gingerbread cookie anyone? I have a funny story about these, but you will have to check back for that!
Our kitchen coffee station also got a little Christmas magic.

PRIMARY BEDROOM-
Not Christmas related but the shining star in our bedroom this year is new curtains! I found these on Amazon and they are so pretty! They have blackout lining and the detail on them is so pretty. They are super affordable as well!
I have some new cozy bedding coming but it hasn’t arrived yet.

BOYS BEDROOM-
Our son always requests a tree in his room and this year he got 2! I love the size of these tabletop trees, perfect for a nightstand.
PORCH-
Would you believe I found both these faux cedar trees at the thrift shop?
I ordered 3 of these planters, {they come in a set} and the largest is holding the living room Christmas tree.
The cute doormat is new this year as is my thrifted and made over concrete deer!

BASEMENT-
Our reading nook in the basement used to be a closet that was not functioning well for us.
So I carved out a little space for some R & R and sprinkled on a little holiday magic as well!
The sled I just got at a vintage show and I am sure it will make its way into many different rooms over the years. I did see Pottery Barn has one as well so I will link that below.
I put garland with warm white lights around the round mirror and I like how it mimics a wreath.
More white lights in the form of a little twinkling twig tree sit off to the side.
Do you see the faux fur blanket? Well, it is actually a tree skirt that I intended to use on our living room tree but changed my mind! It is the perfect size to cozy up with and no one would know it isn’t a blanket.

Love your simplistic and organic style! Your home is so inviting, love the “We Wish you a Merry Christmas” sign, it’s stunning. Do you have a source for your dining room chandelier, I love how rustic it looks. Couldn’t find anything on your site. Happy Holidays!!
