DIY day!
Let’s make a high end looking bubble vase for a fraction of the cost!
I have loved this style of vase for a while now. It’s modern and fun and I love the texture and feel they provide to a room.
I am also always looking for new vases for our home, and this style seemed just the right fit.
I came across this Etsy shop where they have very fun pieces that are similar.
I decided to try my own shot at making one and I love how it turned out and I love how much money I saved!
Ready to make your own?
YOU WILL NEED:
I got lucky and found this exact vase at our local Dollar Tree!
These half wooden circles {1″)
Spray paint of your choice {I used this one}Â
INSTRUCTIONS:
Starting at the bottom of the clear vase, hot glue the half circles all the way around the base making sure the line is even as this is your jumping off point.
A good tip is to do this first row with your vase upright on a flat surface. This will ensure your row is even and your finished vase will sit flat.
Continue with your rows of half circles until you get all the way to the top, ensuring that your rows are straight.
When everything is glued on, go through and pull off any stray glue strands.
Once you feel that they are all gone, spray paint outdoors on a protected surface the color of your choice.
You will need to prime first if your spray paint doesn’t have built in primer.
You can go matte or glossy, dark or light, even a fun bright color for summer!
I used a color called French Cream and I love the subtleness of it.
Please pin any of these images!
I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
