Let’s have a girls night in!
One of my favorite things to do is have the girls over for a night of eating, drinking, and catching up.
Especially when the sun is out and the days are long.

I like to set the mood with fresh flowers and a lovely charcuterie board to graze on.
This time I got individual plates for each girl to enjoy.
These riverstone appetizer trays are so great. They even have a little spot for sauces, in this case, fig jam!
Here are some ideas for you to create your very own charcuterie board for a girls night in, or any occasion really!
CHEESES
I love a good cheese! Some of my favorites are Gruyere and goat cheese. Brie is another favorite and I love Boursin spread. I love to pair cheeses with different textures and colors to make the platter visually interesting!
CRACKERS
Trader Joes is one of my favorite places to find delicious crackers. They usually have a good variety with things like nuts and dried fruits pressed into them. I also love simply naked pita chips on a cheese board.
MEAT
Thinly sliced prosciuttos and delicious spicy salamis are two of my favorites that I usually always include on charcuterie boards. Adding in meat makes the cheese board more hearty and adds a rustic effect.
FRUIT & SIDES
There are so many fruits that pair perfectly with meats and cheeses. I love using berries and slices of pears, or apples. Grapes and figs are also great. I also like to include some dried fruits such as apricots or dried figs for texture and color.
WINE
This is a personal choice, but I love to pair a Rose with my cheese board. Especially in the warm summer months, there is nothing quite like a chilled glass of Rose!
For a light dinner I am serving flatbreads which I picked up at Trader Joes. They come in a variety of flavors and are so delicious!
I am serving them on matching riverstone plates, which have such an organic shape and texture to them, perfect for dining outdoors!
I also always like to put something out that is non alcoholic for those that don’t drink.
Fresh lemonade is perfect to pair with meats and cheeses in the summer months.
