See these lamps?
Well, they started out like this.
Well, they started out like this.
Then I called my trusty friend Kelley
for some advice on what to do with them.
I think she is the queen of lamps.
She gave me some good ideas, one of which she recommended vintage wallpaper covered drum shades. Although that sounds dreamy to me, my husband wouldn’t like……
so onto plan B.
I sprayed them with my trusty antique white spray paint which updated them instantly.
{I think they were around $15 a piece}
and added a vintage grain sack stencil in black.
I don’t think we have ever had matching bedside lamps before!
I feel like such a grown up!

Beautiful! Can you please post or e-mail me the color of your walls?? I am wanting to do a dark toffee/caramel color in our study and I really like the color you've chosen!

The shades are darling! Also digging those pillows. Did you make those too? Can I purchase some at the upcoming Rust and Ruffles show?????
So fabulous! I too, recently entered the domain of adulthood, purchasing matching bedside lamps! Mine were already fabulous, so I didn't get the chance to improve them, but I did do a little makeover on the lamp by my front door, hopefully I'll get around to blogging it soon…
Fabulous! But I wouldn't expect anything less from you 😉
