Now that Christmas decor has been put away, do you feel like you are staring at blank spaces and walls? Let me help you with adding back things back in with my winter decor ideas! I actually like this time of year because it is a good time to do a deep clean and I look forward to having a clean slate to decorate. If I got some new decor items as gifts or if I have gift cards burning a hole in my wallet, this can be a really fun time to try something new.
My first winter decor idea is candlelight!
The days are still short and your house might feel extra dark with all the twinkle lights gone. You don’t have to burn real candles either to get this warm glow. Some of my favorite candles I have are my flickering LED taper candles! These are battery operated and come with a remote to turn on and off. I have them in ivory and black but they come in many colors. Here’s another tip for you- If you are going on vacation place fresh batteries in these and place in windows. The batteries last over a week being on 24/7 and will detour any unwanted strangers that might try and get into your home!
My second winter decor idea is sheepskins!
Not only do these sheepskins help protect our barstools from getting dirty, but they are extra cozy to sit on and look so good draped over the backs! It adds another fun texture and screams cozy. Place them on dining chairs or living room chairs, barstools or draped over the back of a couch! This time of year I also have one next to the bed and also as a bath mat in the bathroom outside the shower.
My third winter decor idea is oversized fuzzy blankets!
I got this blanket in a twin size but it comes in a throw as well. It is so soft and my favorite to curl up with. Linking up a few others I love under this photo as well.
And my fourth and final winter decor idea is to have a diffuser going with your favorite winter scent!
I love our new diffuser and well into the winter months I will be smelling this winter scent.
